Fundraising
In order to maintain our services to high risk youth, Alternate Shelter Society relies heavily on public funding and private donations. Without these sources of funding, Alternate Shelter Society would not be able to maximize the impact we have on the youth we serve. The closure of many grass-roots non-profit organizations have left many youth with limited options and little hope. Most youth that are turned away from shelters due to a lack of resources end up in a life of crime, prostitution and early death due to a harsh life on the streets. Organizations such as Alternate Shelter Society can make a difference for many of these individuals.
We need your support to keep programs such as our Life Skills Program running. Without life skills training our youth do not know how to go about finding a job, finding a place to live, or even know how to take care of themselves after leaving our care. This makes them vulnerable and will likely lead to them reverting to a life on the streets. Making an investment in our programs is an investment into a safe and happy future for all of our children.
Please feel free to contact us for any further information about Alternate Shelter Society, procedures concerning charitable donations, or to schedule a meeting with the fundraising committee.
